Users in the Telecommunications services markets get fewer email

Northborough, MA December 18, 2007 - Brockmann and Company released its latest customer insight report on the role of email in the telecommunications, wireless, VoIP, cable and Internet services industries. The report, entitled "Email in Telecom Services industries" is available for a limited time for free download on http://www.brockmann.com.

Peter Brockmann, President of Brockmann & Company said, "Service providers in the telecom, wireless, VoIP, cable and Internet services industries depend more on email for business success than they do on their own core voice products. Yet, only 27% of users are very satisfied with their email experience. Improving mobility and spam-control in this market are recommended as the most desirable improvements."

"This industry receives 14% fewer email than others. "Through a combination of better anti-spam performance, fewer unsolicited email from vendors, fewer unsolicited emails from media and fewer emails from customers, employees in these industries use email the least of those studied, but most are still less than very satisfied with the email experience", added Brockmann.

A large proportion of this industry uses challenge-response technology, the largest density of users studied to do so.

This report is the latest in a series of Messaging reports on the practices and insights within various industry groupings.
